Lights On!

Rise and shine!

The second one of our FFU's, the transmitting unit, has now recieved the full soldering treatment and lights up like a christmas tree. The LED's are driven by LED-driver IC's from Texas Instruments, LM3410, which have been implemented by Patrik and the newest member of our team, Alejandro. This new PCB also contains a trigger circuit that turns the system on upon ejection from the rocket, and a timer that keeps the lights on for the required 5 minutes. Tests, such as vacuum and thermal chamber tests, will be performed on this unit over the coming days so stay tuned!
